About us...Growing up on a Dairy Farm I developed a strong bond and love for all of the animals that we raised and cared for. All through my childhood I raised and showed Dairy Cows. I just loved the time and love that I shared with my animals. My mom grew up in a family that raised and hunted all types of Sporting dogs and of all the breeds they had she fell in love with the English Springer Spaniel. As she started her own family Springers just came to be part of it as well. I grew up with them as just part of the family and the love that was shared between us and our Springers during childhood has only grown.

While I was growing up I always knew that I wanted to be a Vet but as I ended my time at Clemson and started looking to going to Vet School it just didn't feel right to move off and leave my spaniels. So when I graduated I started looking for a job instead of applying to Vet Schools. I finally ended up working as a Vet Tech for a local Veterinarian.
After having raised and loved ESS for so long I decided that I would like to show dogs as well as raise them. The Springers that my mom and I had always raised were what we called 'Old Fashion Field'... The dog that my mom grew up with but it is not the 'look' that was promenent in the ring. It was going to take me a few generations to get my Springers into the ring but I was ready to start my show career right away so I started looking for another breed to add to my furry family...

Along came my English Cockers! Around 2005 when I was getting out of school I started looking in the US and overseas for the right ECS to join my kennel. Our ECS are as sweet as the Springers though they have their own special traits and personalities. Now that I have added them to my spaniel family I can't imagine being without them!!

I met Ross, who is a carpenter and dog lover as well, in 2010 and we bacame a family with 2 and 4 legged babies!! We have two wonderful children, Devan and Saxon, who enjoy all the time with our puppies and are just wonderful at socializing. We got married in May of 2014 in with a wedding party that had just about as many of our dogs as there were people! So now I am lucky enough to be able to share my love for dogs with a wonderful husband and two amazing children.
It is wonderful to share my home with a family who enjoys the dogs as much as I do. Ross and the kids have taken a huge interest in the dogs and my husband wanted a larger dog so he has a Great Dane. Devan is getting older and wanted to earn some money and save up for the future. But he had fallen in love with the French Bulldogs that my sister raises so he got himself a couple and we are letting him take on the responsibility of raising and caring for them. I'm sure that Saxon will soon be ready for her own money and can't wait for her to add her special touch to our family past time! |
